For the third year in a row, our newly rebranded team, the “Rotary Clubs of Larchmont and New Rochelle,” raised the most money among all Westchester Rotary clubs for the Alzheimer's Association, Hudson Valley Chapter’s 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer’s. In addition, our team came in third among all Company/Organization teams, raising almost $6,850. Team member Lester Nathan led the way, raising $3,000. Participants included Team Captain Marion Anderson, Marian White, Barbara Crane, Dave Biskup and Francis Okelo.
We reclaimed the Rotary trophy on January 15th at the Awards Ceremony held at the Broadview Center in Purchase. Westchester Walk Director Esther McCarthy and President David Sobel proudly announced that last year’s Walk included 1,423 participants who helped raise $1.015 million, surpassing the goal of $950,000.
The Alzheimer’s Association’s mission is to eliminate the disease through the advancement of research; to enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
