About the Rotary Club of Larchmont

Our members are a diverse group of community members who provide networking opportunities for our members.

Our club sponsors an annual essay contest in conjunction with students from the Hommocks Middle School. We also sponsor the annual Blum Award, which recognizes local high school students for their initiative, leadership and creative pursuit in service to our community.

During 2021, we were able to partner with the Hudson Valley Perinatal Network to provide learning opportunities, travel vouchers and food support for low-income pregnant mothers residing in the 10801-zip code within New Rochelle.  During 2023, 2024 and 2025, we participated in The Walk to End Alzheimer's, raising over $6,000 each time for the Alzheimer's Association.

Our Club History

The Rotary Club of Larchmont [#5024] was chartered on Dec 13, 1929, with thirteen founders, under the sponsorship of the Rotary Club of New Rochelle. The birth of our club at the start of the Depression  brought out the true Rotary spirit. Some of our early members and people in our community needed and were given medical aid, dental care and legal advice regardless of inability to pay.

Since then, the Rotary Club of Larchmont has engaged in many philanthropic activities in addition to being a consistent supporter of the new and on-going initiatives of Rotary International.
